Team Competitions
Each chapter may enter two teams in each of these events. A member cannot participate in two different teams in the same team event (e.g., a member cannot be on two parliamentary teams for the chapter). The First Place and Second Place teams of the events become eligible for national competition. All team events, with the exception of Parliamentary Procedure, can be “teams” of 1, 2, or 3 members; Parliamentary teams are teams of 4 or 5 members.

Chapter Competitions
Local chapters may participate in any or all of the events listed in this category. No individual member can participate in two of the same chapter events. Each local chapter may enter two teams in the events listed below except “State of Chapter Presentation”. The First Place and Second Place teams of the events become eligible for national competition.
Community Service Project (written report and up to 3 members make the oral presentation component) (pre-judged)
State of Chapter Presentation (Replaces Local Chapter Annual Business Report) (presentation only – details to come)
A member may be a presenter for these two events and do two events from the “individual” & “team” categories. This year, a member who qualifies may enter all three at the national level as well.
For all events, any member who has not placed at a national level competition in that event is eligible to compete again in the event at the state and national level. This would include even a state First Place winner who did not compete at NLC or who did not place in the “Top Ten” at NLC. (Note that this is not related to a specific chapter; a transfer student who placed in a national event is not eligible to compete again as an entry from a different chapter.)
Check the state Handbook for a full list of event guidelines and regulations.
